Towers of No Clue

Wir, the 18th of Aryth

After a week of traveling upriver through dense jungle, the trees begin to thin out. Up ahead, a stone city seems to span the river, mostly devoured by the teeming jungle. Dadak wildshapes into the form of a hawk and flies over the city, seeing only creeping jungle and wild monkeys moving within. The rest of the group enters the city and only encounter worn rubble, some weathered carvings of humanoids (possibly drow), vines and several stone towers. Unlike the other stones of the city, the jungle seems to be unable to take a grip on the towers; vines cannot make purchase on their sides. The group examines the immaculate towers and discover no seams in their sides. A brief look at the translated notes and map from Smuggler’s Shiv helps them come to the conclusion that this is not Tazion. Further searching finds no more clues and the party leaves the city.

Several hours away from the city, the group makes camp. Kreshton entertains the group with a wonderful, well-told story before they bed down. Pol begins his first watch. Dadak takes over from him. Shortly thereafter, a small bell rings in the darkness. En mass, the group rises from their beds and stumble into the jungle, leaving gear and camp behind. Half way through a small clearing three large creatures step out of the jungle…
